Basset Creek Waterfall and Drain

Bassett Creek drains several square miles of northwestern suburbs. It flows above ground until entering a tunnel in the west side of Minneapolis. But don't enter there!! Shortly downstream is an immense waterfall about forty feet tall. The sound of the water hitting the floor reverberates off the cement walls of this chamber, and it is so loud that you can't hear somebody screaming in your ear. During normal (minimal) flow, the drain downstream from the waterfall has enough water that you can lay down and freely float downstream without a floatation device. Who knows what it would be like after a storm!
