Temple of the Drowned Cat

A typical St. Paul deep sandstone drain, this drain starts out at about 10' RCP and goes on for about a mile and a half, passing two large drop shaft waterfalls. What sets this drain in a class of its own is the sheer size and design of the second drop shaft - the ceiling slants up at about a 45 degree angle to 30-40 feet off the ground and there is a huge circular space surrounding the waterfall. The night that we went there, there was a dead cat right in the center of the space as if the space was built as a shrine for the cat.
